Not every build requires a building permit, but if you do need one, then strict building regulations do require you to get one, which we can organise for you. However, should you decide against this, you can apply to The Council Building Department to approve a shed outside of the normal regulations as a dispensation. This is called a 'Report and Consent.'

This is something that is required if your labour and structural costs are over $16,000. An Owner Builder is a registered proprietor of a property who takes responsibility for domestic building work carried out on their land. As an Owner Builder, you will be responsible for obtaining a Building Permit (which we can take care of for you), subcontracting trades to complete work on your behalf (which we can also help source), using registered trades to complete all plumbing and electrical, supervising the building work and ensure the work meets the building regulations and standards.

Delivery will be on large crane truck(s), and due to OHS requirements, the truck(s) generally cannot gain access to the rear of your property or drive over crossovers. In most cases, kits are delivered to the front nature strip. This is to help protect your property as well as council-owned assets. We’ve delivered over 30,000 kits over the years and would always recommend trusting the delivery driver and their expertise as the best place to deliver your kit.
Footings/Pads are used to connect the building to the soil. They provide support for the main structure, similar to how roots support a tree. The main function of foundations is to transfer the weight of the structure into the ground as well as provide support. Footings/Pads are required for most structures under each column and mullion. The size of the foundation will vary depending on the size and type of structure, the site, fill, wind loadings, engineering and building regulations.

Unsuccessful permit applications are characterised by the inability to build a shed on your land at all. What will not be considered an ‘unsuccessful permit application’ includes, but is not limited to: requests for further information, planning permit requirements, report and consent requirements, a change in size, a change in location, a change of heart, a change of colours, a requirement for owner builder certification, a requirement for a registered builder to complete the build, and permit lapses.
AfterCare is defined as the support provided by Shed Bonanza after the successful completion of a shed build. It’s our goal to support you with the aftercare of your shed with tips and guides on how to care for your chosen shed and assist with any issues or concerns that may occur; on the rare occasion that they do. Including but not limited to: assistance with warranty claims of manufacturing or shed materials, subcontractor agreements, permit concerns, replacement shed alternatives and add-ons. Please note that we have no control over warranty claim decisions made by suppliers, as this will be down to the discretion of each individual manufacturer or supplier.
